Genuine Mercedes Semi-Automatic Folding Towbar and 13 pin Electrics

We can retrofit a Genuine Mercedes Semi-Automatic Folding Towbar using genuine Mercedes Benz parts.  The button on the underside of the tailgate will release the towbar from its locked or unlocked position. The towbar then simply pushes and locks into place. This is the Retrofit ex-factory solution (optional extra Code 550). Precision tailored to the vehicle. A 13 pin electrics connection is mounted in the side of the bar itself so is very neat and tidy.

Full 13 pin connectivity allows for use with caravans as well as trailers. (Adapters available for 7 pin trailers)

Some vehicles are equipped with ‘Tow-bar preparation’ which includes some of the wiring. For those vehicles not equipped with this we will add the relevant wiring through the car in accordance to Mercedes spec. This varies depending on the spec of the vehicle. If the car already has the Burmester sound upgrade then there is suffienct power in the back of the car to minimise how much extra wiring we nee to install.
