Mercedes Comms upgrade from 3G to LTE.

With Vodafone (and others) turning off 3G shortly the communications in some Mercedes Cars is going to be adversely affected. The connection will drop back to 2G (EDGE) which is fine for voice but any other data streaming is virtually useless!

Mercedes themselves seem unable to offer any kind of solution to this problem so we have researched and can now update your car to a 4G/LTE connection which is significantly faster than current meaning that subscriptions to live traffic, internet radio and browsing will all be improved.

Connectivity with the Mercedes Me app will also be updated and subscriptions will again become an option (current minimum is £8/month)

The process involves changing a control module and then aligning this new module (which has a SIM card within) onto the Mercedes network. Our upgrade is recorded on the Mercedes databases so there will be no future implications to worry about. We generally find that connection is established immediately but because a mobile phone connection is being updated it is claimed by the network to take up to 48 hours to establish.

The quoted price includes installation and all parts required.

Using genuine Mercedes parts, the entire installation is completed to the highest standard and when finished will be identical to the factory specification.
