Retrofit Pioneer Head Unit to Mercedes SL
On earlier Mercedes models it is often only the technology that dates the car. By updating with a new after-market head unit can bring things very much more -up-to-date and give you features otherwise not available using genuine equipment.
We can install a Pioneer SPH-DA77DAB in a vehicle specific fascia kit that will fit perfectly into the dashboard of your car where the existing Mercedes head unit is fitted. We will install an interface that will allow continued use of the steering wheel buttons for volume and telephone Send/End. Radio information will no longer show in the small display inbetween the speedometer and rev-counter but all other vehicle information will still be present. If we are removing a Comand head unit that sends time and date information to the dashboard then we will change the vehicle coding to allow manual adjustment of these settings.
A small and discreet DAB aerial will be installed into the top left hand corner of the front windscreen on cars that don’t have existing DAB aerials. This is an unobtrusive and effective way of achieving digital radio reception.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will allow the use of the navigation and music apps from your phone to enable you to navigate with up-to-the-minute traffic information and the latest maps whilst listening to your favourite music – all controlled by the touchscreen of your Pioneer unit.

This is an installed price inclusive of all parts and VAT. On upgraded audio systems our installation price includes fibre optical adapter and assumes that the existing amplifier is in working condition. If this amp has failed we have alternative options – Please call for details.
