The Thinkware U1000Plus is one of the most advanced and discreet dash cam systems available, ideal for Mercedes car owners who want premium in-car protection without compromising the clean look of the interior.

Designed to sit flush against the windscreen, the front-facing camera has an adjustable angled lens and a side-mounted cable entry, which we install with minimal visible wiring. If you choose to add the optional rear camera, it’s a slim, unobtrusive unit mounted at the top centre of the rear screen. As with all our installations, wiring is hidden through the existing rubber grommets in the boot hinges, and we only connect to circuits that are fully compatible with your Mercedes’ electronics.

The system connects to your smartphone via the Thinkware app (iOS and Android), giving you access to settings, recorded footage, and live views.
Alternatively, files can be accessed via PC or Mac. We’ll configure the app and system for you during installation so it’s ready to use straight away.

• Continuous Recording Mode: This mode is activated automatically when you start the car. Recorded videos are saved in one-minute segments with an auto-looping mechanism.
• Event Recording Mode: Active Impact Monitoring System will automatically store the video data ten seconds prior to and after a collision registered by the 3-axis G-Sensor.
• Manual Recording Mode: Similar to a video camera, you can use the Manual Recording Mode to capture events that occur in front of your vehicle whether or not it is in motion.
• Parking Mode: This can be set to either ‘Time Lapse’ recording or, Energy Saving Impact Recording.
