On eligible cars, we use specialist diagnostic software and equipment to enable built-in CarPlay and Android Auto functions in the factory head unit. This is workshop programming rather than a hardware installation.
For certain models, a mail-order OBD activation device is another option.
A retrofit module adds phone integration through the original display and controls on compatible systems. Some modules can be supplied for DIY installation where the listing offers it.
A larger touchscreen can add CarPlay and Android Auto while modernising the dashboard. For cars such as the ML W166, the change can make the interior feel much newer.
