To aid in parking and manoeuvring, we can retrofit the Mercedes factory parking system – Parktronic – into your car. The entire installation is completed to the highest standard and when finished will be identical to the factory specification.
Six ultrasonic sensors in the front bumper and four in the rear bumper monitor the surrounding area. These sensors detect the distance from other vehicles or obstacles during parking. Should the distance become too small, acoustic and visual signals warn the driver by means of loudspeakers and LEDs.
The front display is mounted on top of the dashboard in the centre. The rear display is mounted in the headlining at the rear so that it is visible in the rear view mirror.
Note: If your vehicle has a bulkhead fitted, two separate displays are installed in either corner of the dashboard.
A new switch is added to the lower control panel to allow the driver to disable the system. This is especially useful if the sensors are covered by snow.
Using genuine Mercedes parts, the entire installation is completed to the highest standard and when finished will be identical to the factory specification.
